Hi Paul,
this sure is an attractive looking bird and your photo shows that very well.I like the colour of it's plumage a sort of peach/tan and the catch light looks good too.A well focused and detailed shot with eye appeal of a bird that here where I live we don't have.Thanks for sharing this one. Bob

The Chaffinch is such a beautiful bird and you've captured this one in a fine pose on the lichen covered branch. I like the catchlight in the eye and the sharp details. Natural colours and a fine composition too.

Splendid shot of this cute Chaffinch with lovely colours and sharp details on its plumage. Superb light and exposure levels and you have captured it in a fabulous pose. Excellent DOF isolates it from the BG and I like your chosen POV to portray it. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Congratulations on reaching 10,000 points!
This is a fine way to celelbrate with this excellent shot of a chaffinch! (A male and female have just begun visiting the field near my garden, but, as yet, I have not been able to get a decent shot!)
The colours are absolutely spot on! The details of the texture, and pattern, of the plummage are also superb!
The diagonally placed twig helps a great composition!

Hello Paul,
Nice one of a male chaffinch.
I like the pose, POV and composition very much and the sharpness against the OOF natural Bg shows him up well.
I have used my hide on a wetland nature reserve and taken some shots of birds that were not very close but I will post these later.
