Hi Shir,
Don't be hard on yourself the DOF is not so bad.I like the ground level POV and wide angle making the mushrooms look so large.As you say, the light is very pleasant especially that caught on the right.Good detail and clarity and lovely natural colour.Good work mate...maybe you'll see (eat!) more next year.

Es cierto Shir... la imagen carece algo de DOF, pero la composición es muy agradable, principalmente por el bajo POV que lograste y la iluminación que mencionas muy apropiada, además de un difuso fondo contrastante con los hongos.
Un interesante presentación.

It is certain Shir... the image lacks something of DOF, but the composition is very pleasant, mainly for the low POV that you achieved and the illumination that you mention very appropriate, besides a diffuse bottom contrasting with the mushrooms.

I missed you fungui shots, MF.
As you say DOF is not perfect, nevertheless it is not too bad, I wish all fungi shots posted in TN had this DOF :)
I like very much the greens in the BG, they are lovely.
About the id., I think you might be right, other posible is L. rufus.
BTW: It surprised me to read one of your critics is perfect spanish, do you speak spanish?

Nos presentas una foto de unos Lactarius muy bonita con una iluminación lateral muy buena. La composición también esta muy lograda y el fondo hace que destaque mucho.

bonito close up de estos hongos
la composición está muy bien y tu POV ttambien (al mismo nivel), lo que hace que resalten muy bien respecto al fondo borroso

colores intensos pero naturales y la luz natural
lateral tambien funciona correctamente
