Wow, I just clicked on "Random orphan Photo" and this photo came up.

I know absolutely nothing about shooting in macro and am not even remotely qualified to render a critique your shot. However, I can say that this is very unusual and eye-catching. I wonder what this would have looked like with some lighting to bring out the colors.
