Turdus pilaris

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) or in German "Wacholderdrossel" I photographed at a filling station in Jyvaskula. It was hunting for worms and insekt in the morning. I used my car as a shelter to get closer to the bird.
Fieldfares are very frequent in Jyvaskula, especially in the bushes and forests and adjacent lawns they can be spotted. However, they are usually shy birds and disappear in the trees when people approach. |
