Male Great Tit (Parus major) taking food (caterpillar) to the brood in the wall of our house. Great Tit is one of the most creative species to find nesting holes in structures. This time it nests between the wooden outside and inside walls. Between the outside wall and the air shaft is a narrow hole that the pair uses to enter and exit. We can hear the brood every time the parents bring in the food.

Hi Pentti.
For the lighing that looks quite bright on the wall, you have got good detail so we can see the lovely colour and food he has. Its a really neat image to go with your notes with him hanging onto the side of the wall.

Hi Pentti,
This is a fabulous shot the great tit. You're so lucky this one is nesting in your house. We have to go to the lakeside park or to the outskirts of the city to be able to see it :( I especially like the way light is reflecting off its eye. I am intrigued by the yellow breast; Indian great tits have a white breast matching the cheek patch. Thanks for sharing this photo.
Cheers, Uma
great capture, how are you and Heli ? Ori
