[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A photo of an unknown species from the genus Sphaerophoria. There are at least 7 species of the genus within 100 km radius and altogether 15 Sphaerophoria species in Finland (in 2006). In the photo the hoverfly is feeding on Yarrow (Achillea millefolium).

this is a brilliant and sharp frontal image of the hoverfly. I like the clarity based on natural brilliant colours, high sharpness and the most suitable contrast against the non-distracting background.
