[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We had a great Crane (Grus grus) migration yesterday. We counted 6388 cranes passing our observation point at Kokemäenjoki River estuary in 5 hours. The weather was greyish, clouds were hanging low and it was not even nearly perfect for photographing, but I took a few shots to remember the great migration. This was the 3rd bigger Crane migration this Fall in Finland and it continued in the morning in clear skies, but I did not have a chance to go there and watch it.

Hi Pentti,
nice composition and great note.
2 days ago I actually heard them but did not see them.
How far north do they actually spend the summer?
