Hi Gert,
Having spent an entire rainy day trying to photograph flying ducks and not getting one decent shot, I have nothing but admiration for shots like this. Fantastic result, excellent detail and beautiful colours. Great panning technique, a great shot.

Hi,
This is a real great picture.
I like the light, the sharpness is very good.
If anything, I think perhaps there is a little too much space below the bird..

Hi Gert
Duck shooting season started here on Saturday, so I would think not too many will want to be flying. A beautiful clear shot. Nicely timed to get the down stroke of the wings. Lovely golden hue to the duck. Simply perfect. Thanks.

Hi Gert, good to see you after your holiday in the sun and now your fishing trip. I have missed you, and here you are starting with another awesome duck for us. And a different one too.
Is he called a shoveller because of his large beak? It looks like a shovel!
Awesome colours, the gold of the duck and the blue sky look superb. Well done MF,
Janice
P.S. Still warm here with the odd wet days. I'm happy with that!

Hi Gert
Another great in flight photo. You give an all new meaning to the saying, "Shooting ducks". At least you get to keep your trophies and don't eat them.
Excellent composition, stunning details, and amazing lighting.
Very well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. Thanks for the great tips in your notes about your PP. I still need to find out more about the 'Smart Sharpen on the B/W channel in lab-colours'. It seems like my Adobe Photoshop Elements does not have this 'lab-colours' functionality.

Hello Gert,
So nice to see you back. ; )
You are right, the light is just perfect... and just gorgeous... with the whole duck illuminated in that warm light.
And you froze the motion to get crystal clear details.
An absolutely fabulous shot. TFS. : )

The sun gave this image pleasant warm colours and appeal. The sharp details are amazing. The duck seems to be floating in the sky, very relaxed. Great panning technique. You make something difficult look so easy! Well done, Gert.

Hi Gert
Superb in flight capture, detail & color of the duck are excellent as is the sky, only critique would be the top & bottom crop, if they were to be reversed it would enhance this already great presentation
