Oh cool Paul. Squirrels I'm used to don't have huge tall tufts of hair like that on their ears, and you've captured it very nicely with this crop. The shot itself is very good with excellent natural light and detail found on the squirrel. You can almost see yourself reflected in that eye. Colour is very good.

Hi Paul,

Very beautiful close-up picture of Red Squirrel at my native Finland. In the UK it has unfortunately been replaced by the grey cousin. Very nice composition, POV and BG, colours and natural and details very sharp.

The detail, POV, DOF, color, and exposure look very good to me..
And those ears the red squirrel has are quite distinctive..They help to make a nice vertical frame ;-)

Hello Paul,
Great close-up portrait of a Red Squirrel with fine sharpness and lighting and a great neutral BG. Superb POV and composition too.
I think both the Finnish and Russian ones have longer eartufts than our in S. Sweden, maybe due to colder winters.

What an endeering little critter. A powerful composition that had my eyes darting all over the page. We do not have many reds over here but there is a small island where the greys have not taken over that I may have to visit after seeing this.
