[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was there with this guy running fast to try and hide in the grass and I could not make a single decent shot. So I placed it in a large aluminum sample tube, and the light reflected by the shiny surface was just right to allow me to capture the details and the matallic colours of this magnificent carab Carabus monilis.
Not excatly a wildlife shot perhaps, but a good documentary and an unusual picture.

I like it! It looks like he is at the fairground in the hall of mirrors! Very nice details. Very nice work.

Works for me , allows us to see it clearly and the details are very clear and the reflected light means there are not dark areas TFS

Fantastic picture of the scarab, Philippe. The exposure is perfect. I love the metallic colors on its carapace. Very sharp details. The shiny tube makes a very interesting background. Beautiful shot. TFS. : )

This is a great shot, the detail of the beetle is brilliant. Amazing colours. I really like the reflection in the glass as well, and also the patterns on the aluminium tube.
