| This was a very patient butterfly. It is a common cabbage white butterfly resting on a scotch thistle. It was probably sucking nectar through its probiscis to provide energy for flight and movement. On the other hand its helping the thistle to disperse its pollen. This shows clearly a mutualistic relationship between the two organisms. |
