This insect is 8 to 14 mm long. It is visible on the flowers of low-growing plants and shrubs, Umbelliferous and fruit trees. It is considered a pest since it sometimes attacks vines and the green kernels of cereal plants. It is very common in spring and summer.

Your in-flight series is fantastic. This simmer I have tried to picture of this insect but have got only ultra-close-up pictured. Superb work with macro-equipment. Technique is great. My best regards and compliments.
