[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Rose Chafer (Cetonia aurata) are Coleopters which belong to the family of Scarabidae. According to the areas the adult insect appears from April to June. Cetonia aurata flies with much ease and the elytres remain closed, a setback of their side edge allowing the passage of the membranous wings. The size of the adult insect oscillates between 15 and 20 mm, and the basic color is green metal with small maculae and tranversales strips on the elytres.
I already presented a poster showing the birth of Cetonia aurata: http://fr.treknature.com/gallery/Europe/France/photo26753.htm. I am making a breeding of these insects, so I have many subjects allowing me to experiment the different techniques of photographs in flight of these small beasts!!

Amazing action close up.Visual impact is amazing.POV,lighting, colors
and composition are wonderful.TFS...:-)

Hello didier
Great shot. Am taken aback when i saw this. The wing movement is very much in full swing. The colors are very nice.Is this a panning shot?
Satish.H

wow,
nice macro with great details, composition, colors and note!
Thanks ana:)

Excellent shot Didier. All elements are in place. Focus in main object, amazing colors and the light is just 10+. Material which could be used in magazine ads.

To me this looks like an once in a lifetime shots, not easy to catch insects on the fly with macro lens/setting. Great picture!

Hi Didier,
I like very much the feeling of motion your technique provides, seen in the BG blur with its great wash of color. Well composed in the wide frame also. I just would like to to see the head a bit sharper. In a perfect world ;-)
Very well done.

Bonjour Didier!

You're a master! Extremally hard to take photo of insect in flight. And you made it arty, too. Blurred colours, shape, details and composition - everything is top class!

Once again! another inflight shot, you are good..
Everything about it is great...
Well done

Didier, I think this is the first time I see panning in a macro photo.

Congratulations. I like the effect and the feeling of movement the image has.

Hi Didier,
Another amazing in flight shot! The motion blur is excellent here, but there is plenty of fine detail still shown in the insect. Very nice work!
Scott

What is this? Unbeliavable, how can you get it? It looks fly fast extremely like a Voyager! Perfect bg. I never see a shot like this! Congratulations,

Bonjour Didier
C'est une très belle prise de vue avec ce beau petit coléoptère.Les couleurs et les détails sont très jolis. On jurerait qu'il est en formule 1
Merci et bon week end....JP

Hi Didier,
Stunning! Great timing, exposure and composition.

Paul

WOW! I've just started experimenting with panning shots of people and that is difficult enough. To have one of an insect must be extremely difficult. It looks pretty sharp so your panning skills are obviously good!
