Cette magnifique composition met tres bien en valeur toute la beaute de ce meloide noir-bleute. La photo permet aussi de voir toute l'agilite de cet insecte qui parait plutot pataud a cause de son abdomen surdimensionne. Belle gestion de couleurs, de contraste et d'arriere-plan donnant un rendu tres harmonieux plein de vivacite. Patrick

Excellent exposure and a beautiful composition. I like the sharpness and the clear details of the insect. But I have a question, are you sure it is f/7.1? It seems like f/4.6 or something because even the closest leaves of the flower are out of focus.

This is a great close-up of the blister beetle climbing all over the host plant. I think a stand alone photo of this plant on its own would also make for some lovely TN material.
The composition is good and the colours are stunning. The DOF is spot-on giving excellent details on the beetle. The BG is very well removed and out of focus and the exposure was managed very well.
