The green tree frog is a small frog (between 3 and 5 cm).
Generally, the back is smooth and green, and the white and granulous belly, but her colour is very variable, because it is very mimetic.
A dark band bars the side of the eye to the groin.
The end of the fingers is equipped with adhesive balls.
She likes wetlands with the abundant vegetation. Its legs enable her to climb there rather high.
It hunts the small insects and spiders at night.

It reaches sexual maturity towards 3 or 4 years.
In May/June, the male sings and the coupling has place in the ponds and marsh. The laying is appeared as a gelatinous mass and contains approximately 800 eggs.
The tadpoles are very recognizable with their very high fin.
Three to four months after the laying, new tree frogs are born.

She winters most of the time in galleries of rodents.

The tree frog is distributed in the majority of Europe, but is in regression everywhere.

This one was scary with my approach and jumped on this flower, I found the colours interesting. I hope you’ll like it too ;-).
