Here a photograph of a coleopter taken this day ( October 21) in the North-East of France, in the Vosges Mountains, close of the collar of Schlucht at 1150 meters of altitude. I did not identify this insect in a precise way, some are protected.

These are very nice shots Zedelf, I'm not sure of the beetles ID, some kind of scarab/dung beetle, I'll try and look in my book tonight. I wish the inset picture was featured alone, it looks really good.
