Photographic facts
I usually catch these with a long focal, which is the case here, but, after very useful advice from Robert (Robbrown), I'm also using the 50mm macro when the vegetation is not too dense. The approach is possible if done slowly in line, without any lateral movements. If the damsel flys away, don't move, you'll notice it lands back very often on the same place. I've got some close-ups at 30cm.
Shot was taken handheld. Mid morning with a bright sun. This damsel was opening the wings from time to time, but generally, they keep it together parallel to the abdomen.
Shot and adjusted (DPP) in RAW mode. Cropped and USM on Photoshop (150-0,5-0). Framed and reduced to site size.

Magnifique prise de vue, qui met bien en évidence la délicatesse de cette Demoiselle.

Run late upgrade tomorrow. It's good to be back!

Belle et intéressante composition macro-photographique pour cette libellule. Jolies couleurs, belle position, mais pour chipoter : un petit manque de netteté...

Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you very much for sharing.

Its a nice pose and composition. The metallic look was captured nicely. There are some bright spots on the leaf but its a minor nit. Well done.

You have some very interesting and dramatic angles here, Jean Michel. The diagonals really add a lot of drama to this image!
