Hello to all, here is a novelty in my gallery, one bird whom I did not still know, now it is made.

The grey wagtail is a well known, remarkable bird by its contrasts of black and white. The back of the head, the nape of the neck, the chin, the throat(breast), the jabot(crop) as well as the tail are black. The coat is grey, all the rest is white or grey. To the female, a part of what is black at the male, is of a dark gray.To the female, a partof what is black at the male, is of a dark gray. Without being really bound to the water, the grey wagtail often lives near her. It also appreciates zones loosened(kicked away) in low vegetation. We often see it in the meadows, along roads and in the parks and the gardens.

Very nice picture of what appears to be White Wagtail (Motacilla alba alba). Great composition, nice pose, sharp details and pleasant BG.

Beautiful photo of this White Wagtail. A bit overexposure on the head, but the colours and details are very good. Great composition with the flower. Good DOF and BG.

Hello Gaetan,
First impression was a beautiful image and it is actually. Then you immediately see the somewhat blurred flower to the left; you may think the bird is looking at that flower which is a bit funny.
Technically good details in the whites and blacks; I appreciate this:-).

HI Gaetan,

A beautiful Wagtail - a bird I didn't know about until this week. Wonderful blacks and whites and excellent details. I love the pose as he seems to be looking at the flower. Very nice composition.

I agree with Pekka that this looks more like a White Wagtail than a Grey. See here for Grey and here for White Wagtail... what do you think?

What a great composition with the bird and the flower as main subjects.
Wonderful pose of the bird, catchlight in the eye, tones, color contrast and feather details.
Excellent work on sharpness and exposure which is'nt easy with all those lighter feathers.
I also love the frame very much.
