Hi Eric,

Good shot. Like the way you have captured detail on the whites without burning them and got details on the grey and black plummage. Sharp focus on the eye. Like the cropping.

Not too sure if I like the framing.

Another wonderful portrait from you!
This is really well managed and beautifully presented.
I like to see that strong contrast between the feathers on this lovely young crane's hear and also that great eye-contact!
The colors everywhere are charming and very well saturated, too.
The POV is excellent and the DOF is impeccable - isolating the subject very well from the blurry BG.
Splendid composition and framing as well.
