The bumblebee is not the male of the bees but a cousin.
It is a larger and squater insect.
The bumblebee lives in colony from 100 to 600 individuals around a queen who installs the nest in an abandoned burrow of mouse or mulot that it papers of dry grasses and foam.

The various species of bumblebees are characterized by the colour of the end of the abdomen:
white bottoms,
yellow bottoms...

It hangs pollen with its legs to bring it back to the larvae.
It is thus appreciated gardeners because it supports the formation of seeds and the fruits.

C'est une photo très claire et j'aime bien la position du bourdon. Par contre, je trouve la fleur trop chargée de détail, et elle se mêle trop à l'arrière-plan. Malgré tout, j'aime bien cette photo en général.
