Ooops - suckling dad
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Ooops. What a mistake !
The kid knew where to look for the udders (On the back and not on the tummy. It's like this by the coypus). But he could't distinguish his dad from his mum. He has been checking the all back of his father, and has been trying for minutes.
After a short break (and hard thinking possibly) he went to his mother, fond the udders immediatly and started suckling.
The mother is on the right on this pic. Her fur is little bit more messy than the one from the male (possibly from the sukling)
I posted in a workshop the kid sukling his mum (a few minutes after the actual pic). The male didn't move at all and didn't even try to get rid of the kid.
More information about coypus in my previous posting.
45mm 400ISO
crop 98%
Levels overal except on the head of the male and the kid, because darker.
Sharpening after resising.
Thanks for looking

Interesting animals JeanMarie. They look like large fat rats, and I have never heard of Coypus before. And intersting notes from 3 postings ago too. TFS

This is lovely. I loved watching the Coypu swmming around last time I was in Italy. They are lovely. This is a wonderful shot. Amusing moment captured, nice sharp details and great poses

Very interesting view of animal behavior. Are thes native to this area or was this shot in a zoo? Very curious animals to see.
