The sphinx of the euphorbium (Hyles euphorbiae) meets since the south and the center of Europe as far as Central Asia. It was introduced in Canada in Ontario on the euphorbium ground cypress in 1965. It is since bench in North America. In Europe, it is mainly associated with the euphorbium ground cypress. (Euphorbia cyparissias), but it also meets on Euphorbia esula, Euphorbia gerardiana, Euphorbia paralias and other species of the Esula sub-genus.
