The cat shark are a large family of sharks numbering over 110 species.
Cat sharks may be distinguished by their elongated cat-like eyes and two small dorsal fins set far back.
Most of them lay eggs like these even though there are some that are ovoviviparous.
In the picture you can see the characteristic curly strings that each egg has (2/ egg) so that it can be attached by the mother to coral and other inanimate things for support. |
