Peafowl as pets

Peafowl can be companion animals but certain factors must be considered. They can have trouble with dogs, cats and other pets. Neighbors often complain about the bird mess around roosting areas if it overhangs their property or the birds roost on a neighbors structures. If allowed to free range, they will spread their territory with no regard for property lines.

Peafowl have been called "urban guard dogs" because their distinctive cries can act as a warning of approaching people.

Hey Annick,

Good portrait here I really like his pose and the detail you've got against that perfect background is fantastic. Gorgeous colours in the blues.
Not sure why his left eye looks cloudy, perhaps just the shadow cast?

I really like the pose of the peacock, Annick.
A very graceful curve of the neck.
The clean BG really lets the subject stand out.
For some reason I always find it hard to isolate a peacock.
Wonderful details and light and colors.
That crest on top of his head is very fetching.
