[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Photo taken in a little zoo in Lille. About 40km from the place where I live.
It is a pleasant zoo...kind of family zoo...and as the entrance is free it attracts a lot of people. So in the weekend in the afternoon the place is quickly crowded. For photography purposes, you'll better choose another day.

Wiki:
A mongoose is a member of the family of small cat-like carnivores. Mongooses are widely distributed in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and southern Europe. There are more than thirty species, ranging between one and four feet in length. Mongooses mostly feed on insects, crabs, earthworms, lizards, snakes, and rodents. However, they will also eat eggs and carrion. Some species, such as the Indian mongoose, are popularly known for their ability to fight and kill venomous snakes such as cobras. They are able to do this because of their agility and cunning, but typically avoid the cobra and have no particular affinity for consuming their meat. Also, there is a chance the mongoose can be injured from fighting such prey.

Hi Annick,
Although the DOF is very shallow, The detail is very sharp in the face and eye where it counts. Well composed and framed portrait shot. They don't stop theirmotion very long to get a shot like this. Nice one.

Hello Annick,
Beautiful post.Exposure is spot on,focus couldn't be better.Crisp clear eyes, sharpness,BG and framing are also excellent.
TFS...:-)

Un retrato fabuloso con muy buenos detalles y un color excepcional.
Saludos, JL.

Annick,

This is pin sharp and the coat on this fella stands out really well. Good composition with just the crop of the head, would be nice if he had turned a bit more toward you instead of being completely side on. Nice light has helped make this image shine.
