[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This one looks a bit like a wasp but it's a fly of the syrphidae family, according to my books (and my poor abilities to identify insects from them), it might be a volucella zonaria.

I shot it in Corse last summer, there were plenty of them in every garden or park.

I used a 420 EX flash with a diffuser.

Camera was handheld.

Hell, a 20D with the flash on is heavy when it's 35° C hot !
