The landscape

It is a typical landscape of lagoon areas of the Camargue, with the halophilic vegetation of the lagoon, vegetation ripariale and tufted groves on cords dewatered.
In the background, the flamingos in their element, busy digging in the mud of the lagoon in search of their food, their beak is filled with whalebone that filter the silt and retain its prey, plankton, worms, shellfish (which they are part of the pink plumage).

The Camargue is a place for resting and breeding of this bird before their great migrations to Africa (especially Kenya and Lakes).

The photography

The photograph was made with the Finepix S602Zoom in shutter priority. With a sensitivity equivalent iso-200 and a speed of 1 / 1000, was the opening of f / 5. Shooting in the afternoon sun in July.

Bonjour Philippe,
Un angle de vue très bien choisi pour présenter ce petit coin de Camargue. J'aime beaucoup le fait que tu aies inclu dans ton image les plantes du premier plan , cela donne du rythme à l'image. Très belle et fine lumière et une vision presque paradisiaque, accentuée encore par la présence des flamands roses.

superbe scene camarguaise ! une région que j'ai visitée il y a longtemps, et qui m'a laissée de très grands souvenirs
tu nous montre vraiment une belle image de ces flamants cherchant de la nourriture dans ce lagon
j'aime bien les plantes au premier plan, la pose des oiseaux, la végétation de l'autre rive et le ciel bleu
