Hi Emmanuel.
I added this shot to my favourites because everything about it is superb. It is so delicate and has been captured so well that you can literally feel how fragile its little body is. The background is one of my favourite aspects of this photo: the colours are perfect in contrast to the damselfly and the branches and twigs create a great atmosphere.
The DOF is absolutely superb! The whole of the dameslfly being in focus yet the BG so blurred to make the subject stand out really well.
The POV is excellant and so is the composition: it being positioned on the left is brilliant and the gap on the right and above and below the damselfly are the perfect size.
Overall, this is one of the best shots of a damselfly I've ever seen!

Agree it is a very delicate work for a delicate damselfly. the pity is the 800 pix format and big frame, it must be wondeful to see this one with full resolution, and not so small.

Hi Emmanuel

Again a picture that is a perfect lesson to anyone who attempts to shoot damselflies. It's not always best ot get really close and shoot with a higher f-stop for the best result. Here we have another way, that makes teh subject stand out beautifully and also shows it with impeccable details.
Indeed a delicate subject, a delicate approach and a delicate composition.

Really wonderful capture of this Lestes damselfly all sharply in focus. I love the way you've stepped back and included its environment. Sharp details and natural colours. I love the soft pastel background too. Brilliant composition!

This is a very delicate shot. The colours are soft and beautiful and the light is stunning. The composition is lovely and the damselfly is perfectly recorded

This is a super nice image, my only nit is the branch behind the wings which adds a distraction from the main damselfly subject, other than that it is fantastic. :)
