Snake which I met whereas I walked on a dirt track. It is the most dangerous snake which life in nature in my area! And to cross it, it is impressive! the photograph is a little fuzzy because I was afraid to approach me too much close and that it jumps me above, but finally, I finished by the touch.

Hello Arnaud

A very beautiful portrait of this Vipera berus. You did well not to approach it too much. Indeed that bite can be pretty painfull :)
Anyway, the shot is goog, the details are nice and the POV is excellent. The eye contact and the very visible vertical pupile are really great.

PS: you might try to darken it a bit, especially in the head area...could work maybe a little better :) Just a thought...

Alors là, je peux dire que tu n'as pas froid aux yeux! Tu lui as touché? Nous n'avons pas ici de serpents venimeux, juste de petites couleuvres innofensives et je trouve que c'est bien correct comme ça, malgré que j'adore les serpents... La photo est très bien composée et détaillée. Seule chose, sa petite tête un peu surexposée mais là, je me doute que tu ne lui ais pas demandé de poser pour toi au bon endroit :-) Bravo!

Arnaud,
I always wrongfully assumed that there were no poisonous snakes in France.
But it is a BEAUTIFUL creature. It is MOST NECESSARY
within our environment. It should be protected by law.
This is a great, GREAT register. Am happy it did you no harm.
