Hello Christian,
Excellent capture of an insect and crab spider scene so often ignored by 99% of the human population. Both the Scabious and the fauna are sharp and well-composed in this interesting shot.
TFS and regards, Ivan

Bonjour Christian,
Quelle foule sur cette Knautia! Scène si vivante mais malheureusement mortelle pour certaines créatures. Je dois dire que ces araignées-crabe sont assez fascinantes.Bien photographié, comme d'habitude.
Bonne journée sans trop de pluie

What a lovely collection of little critters and are impressed that you can name 4 different life forms. A good sharp image with good use of the DOF keeping the action in focus.
Cheers Clive
Hello Christian,
They're really cunning these little Crab Spiders the way they lie hidden in the flowers waiting for their prey. Sad for the butterfly and I wonder if the beetle is next in turn. Excellent sharp capture against a fine green background and very well composed.
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Great capture for you aswell as the spider Christian.
Strange thing is that most articles in the French language about this spider are talking about Misumena varia, but as far as I know, and I looked it up on Google, the original name is Misumena vatia.
Just 450 articles are talking about varia and over 42000 about vatia.
Wonderful details and soft colors.
The beetle on top of the flower who does seem to act as referee is a wonderful extra and adds to the scene.
Thanks for sharing.
Kindest regards, Harry

Bonjour Christian,
What a crowded flower!
It's so good the mixture got here, as well you described in the title.
I like so much the great composition you made, is really good and well balanced.
The blurred background works great to stand out the several subjects.
Felicitacions et merci du partager.

Bonjour Christian, il s'en passe des choses sur cette fleur ! Ces araignées crabes sont de redoutables chasseurs. Côté photo, rien à redire esthétiquement ou techniquement c'est tout bon.

This is a nice one.
I like very much the predation scene, I usualy see this little crab spiders killing flies, mosquitoes... but the beautiful butterfly makes the scene stronger, and the visitor is a great bonus. Thanks very much for sharing, MF.
Best regards, Felipe.

Bonsoir Christian, cher ami,
thank you for visiting my recent crab spider posting that indeed is showing a very similar setting. And thank you for directing me to yours that I did not see before. You got an even busier scenery with a rose beetle as an unimpressed visitor to the blossom. Your Misumena vatia has lost all her yellow pigments for an even better camouflage. Very clear and well detailed image. Thank you!
My best regards,
Peter

Christian you are right!! c'est vraiment MICROCOSMOS!! réuni sur cette photo et le Knautia est un support idéal pour ce petit monde. J'ai jadis réussi un photo en vol de Drap Mortuaire! Félicitations, Didier.
