Rebonjour,

Mariki

Hi Christian.
What a brilliant quality of reproduction of so attractive scene. I am impressed a lot. Fantastic "skintone". Great reflection of a texture, colours and all other features of the fungi and branch. Even BG is amazing and so wonderful as main subject. Great colourfulness and smoothness of it. Bravo and my best wishes. Well done.
Alexei.

False Turkey Tail - what a name. I imagine it must grow like the shape of the turkey's tail sometimes. Good focus, sharp and colourful too,

Hi Christian
Although I don't really know much about fungi apart from some you can eat, some you shouldn't because dying is bad for your health, and some would take you on a trip without any car, boat, train, or plane. However, I know there are some amazingly beautiful fungi which I obviously can appreciate and enjoy, but I can also appreciate and enjoy a good photo.
I quite like your composition with the branch running through the frame at some oblique angle. The wetish surfaces probably made the colours appears a little more saturated than normal, but it did good giving it a rich tone. The DOF is rather sufficient for this shot as it included the full range of the subject thus leaving everything in sharp focus. Fortunately for this type of photography you need not be concerned that the subject will fly or run away so you can take your time in setting up the shot, but that does not mean every thing will come natural if your skill and experience do not address the issues at hand. Therefore it needs to be mentioned that you did a great job in isolating the BG and making sure it remained well OOF, thereby complimenting your brilliantly coloured subject.
Good work MF and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Very colurful capture and really rich in details.
I just love the BG, beautiful!
This one is very common here, forming big clustersHERE in oak trees near rivers.
Best regards, Felipe.
