[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture of narcissus poeticus in the garden (grassland!) of my parents-in-law. It was a beautyful day and I played with my macro. One of the results is this macro with a narcissus with plenty of pollen. I took severall to get a clear one due to aperture and shutter speed. Hope you like it!

Some small details about Narcissus (wikipedia)

Narcissus poeticus (Poets Daffodil, Nargis, Pheasants Eye, Findern Flower, and Pinkster Lily) was one of the first daffodils to be cultivated, and is frequently identified as the narcissus of ancient times — often associated with the Greek legend of Narcissus. Extremely fragrant, with a ring of petals in pure white and a short corona of light yellow with a distinct reddish edge, Poets Daffodil grows to 20-40 cm tall and is widely naturalized in North America and Europe.

Poets Daffodil is cultivated in Holland and southern France for its essential oil, narcissus oil, one of the most popular fragrances used in perfumes. Narcissus oil is used as a principal ingredient in 11% of modern quality perfumes — including Fatale and Samsara — as a floral concrete or absolute. The oils fragrance resembles a combination of jasmine and hyacinth.

While all narcissi are poisonous when eaten, Poet s Daffodil is more dangerous than others, acting as a strong emetic and irritant. The scent is powerful enough that it can cause headache and vomiting if a large quantity is kept in a closed room.

Ciao Georg, beautiful flower with fantastic colors, splendid focus, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Georg,
Thanks for your kind words on one of my recent pictures.
This is a good macro of a flower I have seen for the first time.
The details and colours on it are well captured.
I would suggest that if it is a cultivated plant this flower grows on, you ought to avoid such pictures on TN because they could be removed by the moderators on the basis of TOS that forbid images of cultivated plants/flowers and domestic animals.
It is a very honest advice.
Thanks and regards.
Ram
