[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is from our ongoing month long vacation in France, right now staying i Arcarchon 60 km west of Bordeaux. I had not planned to post any photos until we come bacl home but found a hotel with a good wifi-net, so I could not resist this beauty.

This is from the peninsula Cap Ferret west of the Bassain the Arcachon that is a total birdwatchers paradise with the Teich bird reserve.

These Sanderlings (Calidris alba/Sandlöpare) normally stays in the arctic area but in springtime you can see the small flocks on sandy shores if you are lucky. How lucky we are... ;o)

I took this in rawformat and used Adobe Lightroom for some adjustments before the edit in Photoshop CS3 beta

Hej Bengt,
Great capture of a Sanderling still in winter plumage.
I can't fault this shot; excellent sharpness, POV, pose, composition, lighting and superb BG with a hint of a reflection in the foreground.

Hey Bengt, this is an excellent sanderling shot. Th eextra low-down POV you achieved by lying on th esand and given you superb results. I'm impressed that you were 5-10m away. Even cropping has given excellnt result. Great sharpness and the water droplet with teh open bill is a great extra. ireally like the diffuse reflection in the wet sand.
