In the garden, this kind of birds (a grouse ?), male or female, keep walking around, one eye looking for the food on the floor, one on the house, ready to escape if any intruder arrives, hence the need to take the pic at 300 mm ;-)

Nice colors on the bird. I think I would have cropped this more. First of all you would lose the unsharp details in the foreground and the background. Second of all we would be able to see the bird a bit closer. I like it nevertheless. :)

This is a pheasant but not the natural one. This species have brought from coucasia and east asia to europe and hybridized and breeded for hunting.This is a male bird.
