Another very beautiful macro shot from you!
What a gorgeous close-up! I like the fact that from this POV all its textures and details are so well visible! The colors are also terrific and complement each other nicely.
Interesting side lighting, but works well here and splendid work with the DOF!

Peter (batu) is right, this is a member of Chrysomelidae family not Pyrochroa species :)
Anyway, very nice macro of this beauty and small beetle :)

I love this time of the year, nature becomes alive and each day brings new bugs.

This is an excellent macro photo with excellent PP work! I like the bright colors and the contrast in the subject. The bug's back looks like a strawberry!

Composition:

This is a great example of breaking the rules. The composition is simple and effective! The plain background is very appropriate and isolates the subject very well! Removing all distracting objects was a great idea! Very well done!

Colors:

Superb complimentary colors! The colors are well saturated and look natural. I like the translucency in the green leaf and the texture in the red part of the bug's body!

Contrast:

Wonderful contrast between the complimentary red and green colors. The black of the other body parts of the bug just adds to the great contrast.

Exposure:

The way you exposed this picture remains a mystery to me! On one hand I noticed that you had the light source behind the leaf and on the other hand you didn't use the flash to fill in the shadows. In spite of all these the background is not overexposed. Another riddle for me: how did you get rid of the shadows? The bug casts absolutely no shadows on the leaf. Did you use some kind of unconventional lighting or an artificial background? Whatever the technique, the results are amazing! Great job!

Focus:

Almost the whole foreground is in good focus, except maybe for the bottom part where sharpness falls off a bit. You made very good use of focus and DOF to isolate the subject.

Overall a very appealing picture and also a big question mark for me! I would have appreciate if you could have squeezed in the notes some more informations about the technique used! Excellent work! Thanks for sharing!
