Waouh ! C'est presque du microscope à ce niveau de détails ;-) Elle a une sacrée gueule cette Diptère mais pas très glamour, vous avez raison.
J'aime bien ce fond contrastant bleu-mauve et vert.

When i did not know his name i called him Pinokio(Pinocchio)but "Peter(batu)" told me 2006-09-13 his real name
You where very close to get this Perfect head shot

An outstanding macro shot on this fly. Vibrant purple color from the flower adds alot to this shot. Good sharp detail in the eye and head area. A nice shot!

This fly has quite an interesting face, Gaetan.
The focus on the eye is really very sharp.
The light from the right has acted as a spotlight on the insect, bathing it in a glow.

Hi Gaetan,
Did you use some form of noise reduction on this shot? The appearance is a bit 'plasticy' maybe also because of over-sharpening. I like the POV and the colour contrasts although I believe that shapness could be a lot better [optically].
