I could not interpet this from the thumbnail. How glad I am that I looked at the full screen! Lovely sharp detail and colours. These creatures look almost cuddly but, from experience, I know what damage they can do!

j'en ai pris une en photo il y a quelques temps mais je n'avais obtenu qu'une seule photo correcte a cause de sa longue,une partie etait toujours hors champ.
j'aime ta presentation même si la profondeur ne permet pas de toutes les avoir nettes.elles ont de belles couleurs.

Very interesting photo of caterpillars. Strange POV and interesting light. Great frame.

It is a caterpillar of Malacosoma neustria (Family: Lasiocampidae)

Hello Gaetan,
had some of those tent caterpiller last year in this area too. Its quite interesting sseing them all bunched up and the whole silky construction is crawling with those things.
I like this composition, the POV allows us to look right into thetent.
Lighting, colors and DOF look very nice.

Hi Gaetan,
The thing I like most about your photo is the exposure. The light is perfect to produce very rich well saturated and natural colors from white to gold to slate blue. I also like your choice of frame with nice complimentary color. The POV showing the caterpillar heads is excellent. Details in center of image are excellent. I can see the tiny hairs. I wish a larger area inside frame was in focus, but this seems to be common with macro lens. The good thing about macro lens is that, in the small area that is in focus, the details are amazing. Bonjour Gaetan, la chose que j'aime les la plupart au sujet de votre photo est l'exposition. La lumière est parfaite pour produire des couleurs saturées et normales très riches de puits à partir du blanc à l'or au bleu d'ardoise. J'aime également votre choix d'armature avec la couleur élogieuse gentille. La POV montrant les têtes de tracteur à chenilles est excellente. Les détails au centre de l'image sont excellents. Je peux voir les poils minuscules. Je souhaite que un plus grand secteur à l'intérieur d'armature ait été au foyer, mais ceci semble être commun avec le macro objectif. La bonne chose au sujet du macro objectif est que, dans le petit secteur qui est au foyer, les détails sont étonnants. TFS et moi espérons que vous avez un week-end agréable. Ken.

J'avais loupé cette image intéressante. Tes chenilles donnent l'impression de vouloir sortir de l'image! Elles ont une très belle couleur bleue que tu reprends pour ton cadre. J'ai vu les mêmes l'année dernière dans ma rocaille, mais je n'ai pas fait de photos.

Hi Gaetan, what a beautiful shot. I don't care much for these caterpillars but I like this shot of yours a lot. (I never thought of fishing with them). The composition with them joining heads at the apex of the frame works very well, your colour and detail are excellent for a macro. Very nicely presented.
