Plagodis pulveraria(Linnaeus, 1758) / Barred Umber / Geelbruine bandspanner / Pulverspanner / la Numérie poudrée.
Plagodis pulveraria (Linnaeus, 1758)
A very rare species throughout Belgium, more frequently observed in the southern provinces.
The larva lives on different species of deciduous trees, like Quercus, Betula and Salix. Hibernates as a pupa among plant debris.
The adults fly in two generations a year: from end of April till mid June and again from late July till August. They are attracted to light.

this one is beautiful, such a beautiful colour and the wings are glittering.
I also have a moth here today - together with the eggs I had the great pleasure to watch while they came out ... Great moment.
