Bonjour Laurent,
This is a fine capture of a Bush Cricket, not a grasshopper or locust. Bush Crickets have very long antennae like this one. The antennae of grasshoppers and locusts are much shorter.
This is a fine sharp capture in a good composition on the flower.
This is Ephippiger ephippiger, en francais 'Le tizi'.

Hi Laurent,

I wouldn't know the difference between a grasshopper or a locust. But this is a wonderful macro with lovely colors and great details. I love the way the insect has his legs on two flowers. And what a long antenna!

Hello Laurent,
It looks like this young Bush Cricket is diving into the flower for a long drink! The fine light has brought out the details and colours really well here. Great composition in fine colours. Brilliant shot!

Wonderful shot of this strange looking insect with amazing patterns on its body. Looks very weird. Very sharp image with neat focus and great lighting. The BG lets the subjects stand out and I like the colour contrasts here. Excellent POv and very nicely composed. Kudos.
