I didn't post any pictures or write any comments for quite a long time, but now I am back, one more - TN is a very important place for me, even if I do not find much time. The reason why I was absent it that I lost my job after being sick for some time, and I was very busy loking ofr a new one. Now I have found something, much more interesting than my previous job, so I'm happy again ! :-)

This picture may be a bit strange, and not perfectly composed (I know that the horizon line should not be in the middle of the picture) but I really like it. The different shades of blue in the sky and in the reflections on the water llok great, I think.

But the main reason why I like this picture is because it reminds me a wonderful day. It was a foggy morning, so I decided to go out with my camera. The forest forest was full of white and silver ghosts, with black trees standing tall and proud in the misty atmosphere - I had the impression I was walking in some fantasy tale, and that some Elves would pass me by like in Tolkien's stories.

Then I arrived at the lake, at the perfect moment, just when the morning sun was chasing the fog away. I saw the fog disappear over the waters in just some minutes, it was truly wonderful. I took this picture at this moment.

And then, after that, a shining sun was warming up the landscape, making the trees shine with gold and red. That was gorgeous too. And I could watch the six 'Myocastor' (I don't know English name) that live on the shores of this lake. I wish I didn't have to go home, but it was very cold and my ears were freezing, so I had to go back to some warm place... But I will not forget this wonderful morning so sonn, a perfect autumn morning.

I wanted to share this special moment with you all, because I know that all the people here llove the nature and the life as much as I do. I hope you'll enjoy looking at it !

Hello Valerie,
Glad to hear that your life has taken a turn for the better!
This a beautiful shot that summerises what is typical of the autumn: the colours of the trees, the slight mist and calm water of the lake. The composition is quite synbolic with the sunny blue sky at the top and the dark water of the darker times to come at the bottom.
great post!
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hi Valerie,
A really wonderful autumn view of this foggy, warmed up lake. It illustrate very well the personal history you tell in the note. Finally energy will clarify the darkest situation!
Take care and thank for sharing this optimistic view!

Hi Valerie,
A very special picture!
I like so much the mystic mood of it.
And you can't have described it better that in your notes.
The way the fog covers so gently the trees is very appealing to the eye. As well as the blue gradations on the sky.
I want o tell you that enjoyed a lot the reading of your notes, I would have liked to be also there (but excluding the cold ;-)
I'm so happy to read that you are happy again with your new job and that things are going on the right track for you.
My compliments for all that and the picture!
Thanks for share it and my warm regards,
JM

Hi Valerie and how great to see you back!

I too have just started a new job so i know how you feel :)
This is indeed a fantastic shot - a very original and refreshing one!
I really love the minimalistic composition and all that trasition between the different shades of blue. Absolutely wonderful. I actually liek the very dark blue from teh bottom of the frame the most...i think that because it's so deep, it really adds to the mood and drama of the scene given by the mist.
Simply splendid!

Bravo, TFS and welcome back!

Hi Valerie,
Nice to see you after such a long time. Hope everything is well settled now.
This is an awesome presentation and I like the ambience captured here. Superb lighting and exposure with lovely colours. The fog really creates a magnificent effect and translates this image into something dream-like. Great work with an excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Valerie,
I ma gald to see you post again. Sorry to hear that you had lost your job, but great see that a even better job has been presented to you. Normally I would agree with you that a horizon should not be centered, but with this one not. I think the centered position works perfectly. The minimalistic approach is only made more powerful by the central position of the shoreline. On both ends there is emptyness and the mirroring effect of the reflection enhances the minimalistic feel even more. I find this photo so beautiful, that I have to add it to my favorites.
TFS,
Niek

Hi!
I like this picture for all the different layers, three in the water and three over. The combinations of color are really fine.
Its like a high decorative cake.
Except the fact that I never have seen blue cakes... :-)
TFS!
Best regards
Jon

Hola Valerie, ojalá pudiera enseñarte ese paisaje un dia. No solo eso, de paso degustarías algún vino de la región y algún plato típico :-)) Muchas gracias por tus comentarios. Tu fotografía original y diferente , con un atrevido formato.

Hello Valerie,
A wonderful atmosphere has been captured!
So typical for the season when the sun is fighting with the fog, later the fog will always win...
A well framed scenery with subtle colour palette!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Valerie,

I am with you TOTALLY that you chose to keep the horizon in the middle. That rule is for general guidance only. But you as the artist have every right to decide and determine what looks best.

This picture proves that the artist made the right decision :-). Fantastic picture. PERFECT.

Keep posting and welcome back.

Warm regards,
Kiran
