Le miroir de Vébus est une petite campanulaceae annuelle. Ses fleurs très ouvertes à 5 pétales bleu-violacés et base blanche sont faciles à identifier.
C'est une espèce habituellement associée aux moissons, friches et bords de chemins. Elle est répandue dans toute l'Europe, l'Afrique du Nord et l'Asie, plutôt sur sols calcaires.
Comme beaucoup d'espèces associées aux moissons (espèces messicoles), le miroir de Vénus est en régression à cause du recours aux herbicides.

Quel joli nom pour une plante! Et ses pétales ont une magnifique teinte violacée. Et je vois même un pucéron sur une des pétales. Très jolie présentation de ce Miroir de Vénus. Merci

This is a lively and sunny scene with lots of colourful detail. You must be wondering why I went back to one of your older postings to award my smiley. I just adore the colour purple and your photo " Legousia speculum-veneris " appeared on my screen while browsing through the gallery. A very good close-up, and good focus. I just love the fine hairs on the flowers stem, the touch of glimmer on the flower and the pollen dust hardly visible. The dried out flowers add a special touch to this photo but what I like the most is the tiny, tiny bug on the flower, hardly noticeable. Real neat shot and well presented. Thanks for sharing.
