[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
This rather common butterfly attends all the types of opened mediums, just as the wood edges and the edges of the forest roads. It likes to take sun baths on the dirt tracks, the stones or the deadwood, just as to aspire the juice of the fruits in decomposition (apples, pears, plums. . .). The male has a territorial behavior very marked like the majority of Vanesses, pursueing of a fast flight the winged intruders, sometimes even the photographers a little too curious in their turning around. The specimen - isolated wings

Cycle life

1 - The eggs are laid with the unit on the sheets of Nettle. They are similar in their structure and their color to those of Beautiful-injury

2 - the caterpillar of the Vulcan is solitary, generally living safe from a sheet of Nettle which it took care to close again on it with silk wire. When the sheet is mainly devoured, it leaves the places to leave to research a new sheet able to ensure a shelter to him

3 - The horn is used to aspire the nectar of the flowers, then is rolled up to fit between the labial palpi located between the eyes

Superbe photo Christophe, les couleurs sont magnifiques et la netteté impeccable, bonne gestion de la profondeur de champs avec un bel arrière plan vert flou.
Felicitations !
Nico.

Great shot Christophe!
Beautiful colours and very good POV and composition. The focus seems to be a bit soft, but maybe it's just such feeling.
The shot is really nice and I like it.
Well done!

Very elegant shot Cristophe, nice quality, colours and composition. I would have froced just a little bit more USM, but may be my screen. Thanks very much for sharing.

Belle et intéressante composition macro-photographique bien réalisée pour ce magnifique papillon. Il y a quelques jours j'ai raté la photo d'un papillon semblable, grrr...
Very Well Done !

Christophe, very beautiful colors, great contrast.

I like the bg and the frame too.

According to your note, just crop on PS CS. Maybe (and just maybe) some USM would enhance the shot even more.
