L’aristoloche rotunda possède des feuilles rondes contrairement l'aristolochia pistolochia dont les feuilles sont triangulaires et dentées.
Ses fleurs sont solitaires et pédonculées, implantées à la base des feuilles qui sont accrochées directement sur la tige sans pétiole.
Elle est la plante hôte de la 'Diane' : Zerynthia polyxena.
Ce papillon si rare en France et donc très protégé :

This is really a curious and not easy flower. You captured it with great sharpness and good detail. Good POV, DOF and composition showing the interesting characteristics of this peculiar plant. Excellent job.

Interesting POV... I think this is the first time I see the sides of a leaf. I also like how the growing flower is between the two leafs.
