Great shot of the Moorhen.
Nicely composed with a great level POV by using the floating blind, it really makes a differnece with being able to get so close the the waters surface.
Nice details, good exposure and nice colours.

C'est un superbe portrait de cet oiseau que je n'ai pas vu souvent. La lumière est de toute beauté avec un excellent contrôle de l'exposition; ce qui n'est surement pas si facile à réaliser avec ces couleurs si contrastées, bravo!

je vois que tu as investi dans du gros matos:) et qu'enfin tu as réussi à saisir un foulque. Techniquement bonne image, avec un reflet complet, une netteté parfaite et une compo dynamique avec ce fliet d'eau en traîne.

Very nice exposure seen on this Coot Laurent. I find these birds very difficult to photograph well with the white beak, red eye and black body, but you've done a very excellent job here. Colour and detail seen on the bird and water are very good with great positioning of the bird and his reflection in this frame.

what a stunning shot of this Coot!
The really low-down POV makes for a more intimate shot.
Lovely colours in the water and great light.
Sharp with loads of detail.
It's interesting to hear you used a floating blind... how effective are they?

Hi Laurent.
I pictured this species this winter a lot. I love these birds and know that they are so difficult for shooting and correct exposure. Your shot is amazing in every respect. You managed to reflect all features of the bird perfectly. Feathers, eye, beak and head are reproduced very well. I like scene at whole too. Excellent DOF and blurriness of the remoter part of BG. Well done and my compliments.

Difficile de faire mieux Laurent !!!!
ces foulques sont très difficile à faire, leur plumage noir et leur bec blanc pose souvent un probleme d'exposition mais là tu t'en sort avec tous les honneurs !!!!

The floating blind has given you a fantastic POV of this Coot. The image is technically excellent with good lighting and I like the hint of blue sky reflection in the ripples round the coot. Nice reflection and great BG and composition.
