A fantastic capture of this glorious shrike with lunch in his beak.
Perfect sharpness set against a fantastic background...The only shame is the branch shrouding the middle of the shrike.

Bonsoir Laurent,
C'est vrai qu'il y a une branche qui cache un peu ce bel oiseau, mais il n'est pas facile à photographier. J'ai campé il y a quelques années dans un bois de pins dans les Alpes de Haute Provence sous un nid de pie grièche écorcheur. Je n'oublierai jamais le chant si passionnant de cet oiseau aux levers du soleil. Un couplet un peu criard et répétitif, mais des refrains très créatifs et mélodieux. L'ensemble du chant était construit de manière "mathématique". Merci de dévoiler cet oiseau assez discret.

C'est une belle image avec une composition saisissante. Le détail minuscule de l'abeille dans le bec est spectaculaire, sans compter sa pose. Le DOF est excellent et est la POV. La clarté est étonnante - de l'autre côté, plusieurs de vos photos sont étonnantes.

Hi Laurent,
Handsome looking bird, love the "zorro" mask.
Very good details, colors, exposure, DOF, comp, and BG.
The branch between the viewer and the bird is hardly noticeable..

This species is my subject for shooting these days too. However I have not such wonderful shots as yours. Bravo, Laurent, amazing scene at whole and superb reproduction of the fine birds and its prey. Attractive twigs create a wonderful patter and decorate a shot very well. BG is superb too. Its colouration is great. Bravo. Excellent work.

selon moi pas besoin d'être plus près, j'aimes le POV, le DOF
et surtout le cadrage, j'aimes voir cette grande espace devant l'oiseau,
