Note : I saw this wild Wort at 1800m altitude, in background you can notice rocks of Tournette 2351m overhang Annecy lake.
---
Common name : St Johns Wort – Scientific name : Hypericium perforatum – Family : Hypericaceae.
---
Description : The perforate form is one of a range of similar plants. The name Perforate St John’s Wort describes the “perforations” on the leaves, which are small translucent glands. This distinguishes this plant from the other similar forms (namely; imperforate, square staked, flax-leaved, slender, hairy, trailing, pale, wavy and marsh). Distributed throughout the British Isles but rare north of the Solway Firth. A pretty plant providing masses of bright, yellow flowers throughout the summer. Good for naturalising in banks or rough grassy areas, in sunny conditions, upto 2000m.
Perennial plant of 20 - 90cm.

Bravo Christian
