Le ragondin (Myocastor coypus) est un mammifère originaire d'Amérique du Sud, introduit en Europe au XIXe siècle pour l'exploitation de sa fourrure. Myocastor coypus est la seule espèce du genre Myocastor, qui est lui-même le seul genre de la sous-famille des myocastorinés.
