This is a very good and close shot of this butterfly. To me the colours are dark but never the less beautiful. I like the off white patterns on the edge of the wings. The markings on the wings itself is also spectacular. A delightful close-up, with the butterfly nearly filling the whole frame. I like the fluffy body of the insect. The greenery brings out the bright colours of the butterfly well. Thanks for sharing.

Ah celui-là je connais! Un spécimen splendide, bien présenté avec de superbes couleurs. J'ai remarqué quelques nuances par rapport aux demi-deuils que j'ai vu ici en Belgique: il a des taches blanches moins étendues sur les ailes supérieures. Petites différences régionales sans doute...
