[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
La magicienne dentelée est une sauterelle géante qui n'a pas d'ailes.
Elle se déplace directement sur le sol et pour se défendre et se nourrir, elle est armée "jusqu'aux pattes".
La magicienne est avant tout une sauterelle ogresse, qui dévore le plus souvent d'autres sauterelles et des criquets.
J'ai eu la chance d'en renconter 2 spécimens, sur la commune de Valensole, sur l'ancienne station de recherche du Catalany (en prenant la D 6).
C'est un environnement de pelouses sèches qui convient bien à cet insecte protégé en France.

Bonjour Laurent,
A superb capture of a rare species of Orthopteran, what I think is related to the genus Acrida. Taken from a fine POV with excellent sharpness against the neutral natural BG and well composed on the bare stem.

This is an amazin grasshopper in many aspect! I like its slim silhoutte and pose a lot. Excellent composition, sharpness, pov, exposure, colours and background.

Enorabuena Laurent por esta preciada "caza". Has bordado la composición y el encuadre teniendo además un enfoque muy preciso. Colores naturales.
Un excelente trabajo y documento porque cada dia son menos abundantes estos insectos.
