| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This damselfly, probably Calopteryx genus, was taking a rest in hot july afternoon perching in a tree close to a small waterfall. As they were always high up in the trees, this being at 2m) I steadyied the tripod against my body. 800 digital Asa compensated for poor light conditions.
Levels were adjusted with PS, cropping done with Irfanview.

This is a very lovely and interesting point of view, Patrick! The insect is slightly out of focus, but so many other things work so well here. Lovely image!

The Calopteryx family is one of the bigest in odonatas.
This one I nver saw in Portugal.
